The backyard fills up an hour before post time. Not for the horses. For the show.

That’s always been true at Saratoga Race Course — fashion and thoroughbreds have shared billing on Union Avenue since 1863. This summer, the look arriving at the rail and spreading across the SPAC lawn has a clear point of view: ease with intention, nostalgia with an edge.

The wardrobe choices landing at the track and the amphitheater this season didn’t start here. They started on runways in Paris and Milan. They just happen to fit Saratoga like they were made for it.
